Arike Ogunbowale
Arike is an American professional basketball player. She is a member of the Dallas Wings Women's National Basketball Association. The team was selected with the 5th selection overall in the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings. Arike Ogunbowale was conceived on the 2nd of March 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years) and Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her older brothers. Since she was the smallest of her siblings she was the most spoilt by her parents. Gregory's father was a member of the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale lives with a very energetic family. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player for DePaul as did her brother Dare. Dare has a career in football. Aunty played tennis at UAPB. Also, her cousin Endia is also a volleyball player at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale was in the honor roll at her school for three years in a row. While in high school, Ogunbowale has been awarded numerous prizes and was recognized as a celebrity. Arike completed her high school graduation at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated in her home town. She played three varsity season while she studied there. Ogunbowale has led her team to several successes thanks to her impressive skills. She has played in 7 appearances in the league and had 1,477 rebounds and 1,477 rebounds throughout her playing career. Ogunbowale was a participant during the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and won Gold medals there. In 2014, the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team was announced on 7th July 2014. Ogunbowale has also been selected to be part of the ACC All-Freshman Team for her first collegiate campaign. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale following the NCCA Tournament big shot. Ogunbowale's basketball career is off to a good start, and she will continue on the same path.
